Caring for your Flock

Your Flock garment has been made from the highest quality natural fibres which give great softness, drape and longevity. With a little bit of love and care, your Flock garment will stay in great condition for a long time.

Care instructions are printed on the inside of every sweater and cardigan. The only exception to this is socks, where you will find the instructions on the wrapper.

Merino & Alpaca fibres naturally resist odours however occasional and gentle hand-washing will help keep them looking at their best.

How to hand wash your Flock Merino / Alpaca garments:

◊ Fill a basin with lukewarm water and add a little gentle wool wash soap

◊ Turn your garment inside out

◊ Submerge the garment, give it a little squeeze but please do not knead or twist it

◊ Empty the water and refill with clean, lukewarm water and rinse. Please ensure that the rinse water is the same temperature as the wash water

◊ Gently squeeze out as much water as possible (still no kneading or twisting)

◊ Lay the garment on a dry, clean towel and roll up the towel to squeeze out as much excess water as possible

◊ Lay the garment out flat to dry

◊ Please do not tumble dry

Top Tips:

◊ Airing your garment after each wear will allow any moisture to evaporate and prevent the need for excessive washing

◊ When washing, changes in water temperatures may cause shrinking so make sure the rinse water is the same temperature as the wash water.

◊ Ideally, your Flock garments should be stored flat and neatly folded rather than hung. Over time hanging may cause slight stretching. If you do need to hang, use a broad hanger to give the garment as much support as possible
